Update!


So it's been a while since I've written a post but I am back and hopeful to try to write a post at least once a week. So an update since my last post, I lost 30lbs on the weightloss challenge (whoop whoop) I kept going after the challenge was over and have lost a total of 52 lbs over all!! I hit a few road bumps with the holidays and all but I am back on it and trying to stay as motivated and positive as I was at the beginning. It's been a bit tough lately and I don't know why but I am trying to stay positive and keep pushing! I am working out 5-6 times a week drinking water like crazy and trying to eat clean. My struggle has been the weekends and the days my hubby is home from work. I'm trying to work on it and also trying to get him on board with eating better. My goal is to get pretty close to my goal weight by my birthday that is 6 months away. I know I CAN and I WILL!

Day 1 down

So yesterday was the beginning of the challenge I got weighed in and measured. I am so ready to get everything started. This weeks challenge is no soda or sweetend drinks, to drink at least 8 glass of water a day si far so good!! My breakfast consisted of my green juice smoothie then I had a cheese stick for snack. For lunch I had a can of tuna with Dijon mustard, 1/4 of bell pepper and 1/2 a tomatoe. Then for my second snack I had a small hand full of walnuts and a cheese stick. Then dinner was a baked chicken breast with a side of sautéed greenbeans, bell pepper, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Then before bed I had my green tea (hot) no sugar added with flax seed. I am also trying to go to bed earlier do prevent late night snacking. I am confident that this life change will be a success I am ready for a new me!!

Let the Journey Begin!!

Hi everyone my name is Mellisabel, I am a stay at home mom of 2 wonderful kids! My daughter Izabel is 6 and my son Christian is 21 months. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, my best friend, and the love of my life. I have a very close relationship with my family, family is everything to me!! They are the reason why I want to start this journey, I want to get healthy for me, my kids, and husband. A few weeks ago I went to get a physical done and they ran some blood work and one of my biggest fears came true the doctor called me to tell me that I was border line diabetic and that my high cholesterol was also border line and that if I didn't do anything about it now that I would for sure need medication by next year!! I was terrified I realized that I need to set an example for my kids and live longer for them. So it is time to change and to shed off these unwanted pounds that are damaging my body.
I attend a gym called Jazzercise and they are having an 8 week challenge starting tomorrow Monday April 7th, 2014. My goal is going to be to lose 40lbs on the challenge. I want this to give me the push I need to get to my big goal of losing 100 lbs. I know you'll are anxious to know how much I weigh well my starting weight is 234lbs now that is what I got on my scale but tomorrow morning we will be getting weighed and measured so that will be a bit more accurate. Well I hope that you'll can follow me on this journey to weight lose. I am ready for change are you :)
